The Bicycle Diaries: Make Room, Make Room
According to this report, car drivers tend to drive closer to helmeted cyclists than unhelmeted cyclists. They also apparently give female cyclists more room than male cyclists.
That's it. I'm gonna start wearing a dress while I ride!
